Similar to Napa Valley or Burgundy for wine, the region where a coffee is grown can tell us a lot about the coffee. One of Peru’s best coffee-producing areas, Cajamarca, is located immediately south of Ecuador in an inter-Andean valley bordering the Amazon rainforest, and produced by small-holding farmers and co-ops from trees of traditional varieties of Arabica.
