What People Are Saying
from Google"Visited on a weekday while it was snowing and we still had a good time. Many indoor exhibits you can see and still keep warm. Walkway around the outdoor exhibits was cleaned and there were still some of the animals outside. The small cafe was a nice touch to get something warm on a chilly day."
"Went the day after Halloween when the zoo feeds the leftover pumpkins to the animals and it was wonderful! But even going when there isn't an event us a great experience. Personally I prefer going in the Fall/Winter because the animals are so lively and energetic - plus far fewer crowds than Sping/Summer. It's not terribly big, but kids will stay engaged for a good 1.5 hours. Definitely visit!"
"Had a great time we got there early enough to see all the animals out and active as they were waiting for their lunch, as we walked around for a second time we noticed some animals tucked them selves away, or were able to see some sleeping such as the bear. He was so cute sleeping !"
"An excellent small zoo. Not a huge number of animals, but some really interesting one that I've not seen in other zoos. Aside from the buildings with animal displays, there is also a series of freshly paved walking paths to outdoor exhibitions. Some of these paths are on fairly steep hills. At some of the outdoor displays there are very nice observation platforms with shade. Unlikely that we'll be back due to its location (4 hours away), but it was well worth the trip"
"Well, priced and the perfect size for kids. The zookeepers are knowledgeable and very invested in their environment. They need to make their cafe and food area more kid friendly, With a better kids' menu. Noon year's eve was a real fun event."
