"Had a Great Turkish breakfast in a cozy, welcoming place. A true Turkish hospitality! The food was fresh, flavorful, and served as a generous breakfast spread that felt truly authentic. Chef Serkan clearly puts care into every dish, everything tasted so delicious and fresh made by him. Suleyman was also excellent: friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed with all smiles. Overall, a really enjoyable breakfast and a spot I’d happily recommend to anyone craving a proper Turkish morning meal."

"We weren’t exactly sure what kind of restaurant it was but took a chance and went. The food was delicious. The service was excellent. The atmosphere was so beautiful. The manager took time to speak with us while we were waiting for our food and when we were leaving. We ordered hummus and balloon bread ( light and airy pita) as appetizer. Delicious. Also ordered fresh beet salad , lamb kebabs and chicken piccata. All were so delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant"

"Stopped by after my daughter’s basketball game. Got a warm welcome and even got the eat I requested. I was in full view of the oven where they make the hot bread that’s to die for. I had the virgin mojito. Refreshing and not too sweet. My dinner choice. The lamb chops opted for fries and not rice. They were cooked to perfection and seasoned well. My husband had the Mix Pide. A thick-crust pide loaded with chopped beef, Turkish beef sausage, vegetables, mozzarella cheese and spices. The portions are generous and the staff all work well together and they check in frequently. The best part it does not break the bank. This was my 3rd time and they have been consistent each time. Added to rotation."

"Turkish restaurants are not uncommon on Staten Island. There are several across the island, most of them pleasant, most of them capable of surprising you on the first visit. But after trying many — here, Brooklyn, Manhattan — Opera stood apart immediately. Not just in the food, but in the way every detail of the experience felt deliberate. The kitchen is the heart of this place. Each dish arrives layered, textured, and crafted with a level of care rarely seen. Even the small accompaniments — sauces, sides, condiments — show technique and intention. We ordered more than six dishes, and every single one was executed precisely. Flavors were balanced, textures correct, nothing overlooked. Even their rice pilaf, often treated as an afterthought elsewhere, was exceptional. Service was its own standard. From the moment we arrived, the staff operated with quiet attention — present without hovering, subtle without disappearing. Plates replaced before you noticed, utensils refreshed at perfect intervals, a warm towel offered after the mains, a clean napkin placed without interrupting conversation. Drinks and dishes arrived at temperatures that showed the kitchen and floor staff were aligned. My beef shish was a perfect example. It’s a dish that many places mishandle — dry, over-marinated, or unevenly cooked. Here it was everything it should be: proper temperature, clean grill marks, a true Maillard sear, and a marinade that unfolded with every bite, offering layer after layer of flavor. Even substitutions were handled thoughtfully. I preferred a shepherd’s salad instead of the house salad that came with my entrée, and it was offered immediately without hesitation — freshly made, balanced, and plated with care. Their Turkish tea surpassed the quality of the premium teas I buy for home, and that alone says a lot about their sourcing. The bar was equally competent, producing drinks with accuracy and consistency. The décor is warm and beautifully arranged — traditional lamps, a well-kept wine display, and a comfortable, polished dining room. Parking was plentiful and easy. Salomon, the head waiter, was exceptional — calm, attentive, communicating with his team quietly and effectively. The entire staff works in a way that feels synchronized, almost seamless. This is the type of restaurant you return to — not because of novelty, but because of consistency, craft, and respect for the food they serve. Opera will become a regular stop for me."
