What People Are Saying

"First time visiting. I loved the atmosphere. I was there on a Saturday afternoon and the seating area was quite busy but I did find a table. My tokyo fog tea was good. Some other people got lattes and it came with some cute foam art. Not a lot of pastry options. I also really liked the flowers and crafts for sale but most of it was quite expensive"

"After seeing some of the reviews online I was super excited to come here, but I was in for a rude awakening {literally}. I was in the mood to try some new fancy flavor of matcha but when I asked the cashier I was met with someone who reluctantly answered my questions. She seemed as if she either A. She Didn’t want to be there or B. Could care less about promoting menu items. I showed pictures of what I saw online bc they do not have a picture menu available in the store which is totally fine and sometimes certain drinks may be off the menu items. Not looking for a certain aesthetic just a drink that tastes good 🤷🏻‍♀️. So I ordered Thai Iced tea and it was horrible 😫. My standards may be higher than most bc I have been to Thailand countless times , but sheesh The Hello Kitty Cafe in Las Vegas made better Thai Milk Tea. I even asked the cashier about what kind of croissant it was that was freshly put out, but again I was met with an unenthusiastic response . Honestly I went to Layali the very next day and had an amazing experience!!!!!!!"

"I'm not a huge Google reviewer but I've been meaning to write something up for Winter Swan for quite a long time now. This is my favorite 'third space' in Rochester. I've been a patron of Winter Swan since it first opened (as my numerous photos can help attest) and I'm not exaggerating when I say that I believe I've tried just about every single drink that's been offered on their menu. I make a serious point to stop in for specials and collaborations too; my partner purchased the Stacy K & Winter Swan Valentine's collaboration for me which included THE most delicious beverages (who doesn’t love a pink latte on V Day?) and exceptionally fresh and gorgeous flowers. I recommend: Vietnamese coffee (to everyone, all the time), the hōjicha latte (particularly if you’re a tea connoisseur like me!), and the pandan latte (Winter Swan classic and a crowd-pleasing flavor that can be tough to find elsewhere). If you’re in the mood for a pastry/snack, the pandan croissants are incredible when available, the bagels are great, and I will make a special trip out here for some of CRUST Pie Co.’s goodies. There are vegan drink options btw, and sometimes snack options too! The owner, Quynh, is beyond helpful and kind. She’s remembered me by name every time she’s seen me, and reminds me to take my Lactaid - half-jokingly, because I definitely need it!! Haha. Each indescribably incredible barista is wonderful to interact with as well - they all frequently make my day. BTW, everybody at Stacy K is lovely too - Michael always says ‘hi’ and is super friendly and warm. Shout-out to every person here who has made me feel welcomed, included, and appreciated. As a disabled person with limited social interactions and spaces to visit, having the ability to stop into Winter Swan and see really kind, familiar faces and know with certainty that where I’m spending my money is someplace special to me that always delivers on deliciousness is something fantastic that breaks up the monotony of my days and helps me a whole lot. Although I typically take my beverage to go, I’ve also stayed for a while to draw or journal, and I’ve brought many of my closest friends here numerous times. The seating area here is much larger than many other local cafes which is such a huge plus imo - whether you’re social distancing/masking, using a mobility aid, or just like to find a seat someplace that doesn’t feel stiflingly crowded even during a rush, this place is ideal. This review is written in all sincerity. My family usually gets me a gift card to Winter Swan at some point during the year because of how much I love it here. Thank you so much to everybody at WS for being so wonderful. (:"

"Came here for the first time today after my hair appt right around the corner from NOTA Beauty (whom recommended this cafe!) - ordered their french toast latte with maple rather than honey (+oat milk) and it was delicious! Very cute shop and very well made latte. My barista was also super kind. :)"

"There are a lot of admittedly “over-hyped” trendy coffee shops in Rochester, but winter swan is absolutely worth it! It has a huge, open seating area with cool plants and skylights on the ceiling. The drinks are delicious and reasonably priced- I had the dalgona latte today! It was smooth and not too sweet. Next up to try for me is their pandan latte and I will definitely be back. It’s such a pretty space and the drinks are unique and worth every penny."
