"After leaving Lenox Hill Radiology I was looking for somewhere small to get breakfast and I found this place! I was craving a bacon egg & cheese but I decided to get a breakfast platter instead! I was not disappointed at all. The female cashier was sweet and welcoming and the rest of the staff was helpful and polite. I loved my breakfast and the cleanliness of the cafe. I would love to go back and try their Mexican dishes.Love the fact that they don’t just sell American dishes!"

"I definitely get Seinfeld vibes from the nondescript locale and the handwritten posters alerting customers of new menu additions, such as tamales, as well as the recent price increase on hamburgers (I appreciate the transparency!). I am also a big fan of those blue, white and gold Greek coffee cups with the decorative borders and scroll-shaped Ionic columns … No drab coffee cups here, which makes my day a little bit more tolerable :-) While this establishment certainly doesn’t skimp on branding (the charming “amphora” cups, for example), the quality of the food is also miraculously high. Last Friday I ordered a plate of chicken flautas, and this Wednesday I returned (though I live in Elmhurst) to order one of their daily specials, “Chiles en nogada.” The chef reached out to me, personally, before I paid, to make sure that I wanted a special “chef’s sauce” and pomegranate seeds drizzled on top of my daily special. I appreciate that he asked because I have zero tolerance for anything – high quality or not – swimming in any kind of sauce, especially a creamy one. I’m sure this place has been around for a while, but as a new customer, I would definitely like to see it stay. Everyone who works there is always in a good mood and genuinely ready to personalize the customer experience. Overall, the ambiance is delightfully old-school (which I happen to love), the dishes are meticulously prepared and consistently delicious. You definitely get what you pay for :-) Highly recommend it!"
