from Google & Yelp"Tucked away along the Erie Canal, Neutral Ground Coffeehouse in Pittsford, NY offers a warm, rustic vibe ideal for a casual stop with your favorite coffee buddy—in my case, my daughter. We swung by for a late afternoon coffee and light lunch, hoping to discover a new favorite. While the setting was charming, the food was a mixed bag. I started with their Bruschetta Soup, which looked hearty in the bowl and came packed with chunky tomato, zucchini, and subtle herbs. However, the flavor didn’t quite pop—pleasantly warm, yes, but lacking the richness or depth you’d expect from a soup inspired by such a vibrant dish. It felt more like a watered-down marinara than a comforting café standout. My daughter ordered “The Towpath”, a toasted sandwich stuffed with fluffy scrambled eggs, crispy bacon, and gooey melted cheese on perfectly grilled bread. This one definitely delivered on flavor and comfort—the salty-savory balance and texture of the bacon were on point, making it the highlight of our meal. As for the latte, it was fine. Smooth and creamy, but nothing that would have me veering off my usual route just to sip it again. Neutral Ground is a lovely place for a quick catch-up, but next time, I’ll stick to the baked goods or try a different sandwich. Overall: cozy spot, but menu hits and misses."
"My daughter and I absolutely loved the food and drinks. My barista was wonderful at helping us choose between our 2 dishes that we couldn’t decide on. We had London Fog tea Amazing would buy again/ snicker doodle iced coffee Grilled cheese with tomato was perfect. Would eat again. Buffalo chicken wrap was delicious with exactly the right amount of spice. 💕🦋💕"
"The atmosphere is adorable and cute. The food is basic bagel, egg sandwich, etc but delicious and the coffee is very good. It is right on the canal with a great place to stop for bfast lunch or coffee. I apologizing for taking off a star but the day we went, one of the staff was not kind nor accomodating. I am sure that is not what the restaurant wants and maybe it is hard to find staff but it did make our entire party a bit put off. I will still return since the food, decore, location, prices and atmosphere are something to return to."
"This is not the first time I was here. What I like about this coffeeshop is the coffee, and the view on the river, the cozy inside, and the fact that it's usually not overly full, probably, because the parking spots are a few steps behind, and not right in front or next to the entrance. What I think went downhill the last couple of times I have been here, was the cleanliness of the tables and the service stations. Everything was literally sticky enough, I thought, some little kid had touched it with honey-fingers, just before I arrived. And definitely improvement-worthy are both, the service, and the food/price ratio. Service: Please, hire someone who looks like they actually want to be there, and doesn't look like you're disturbing them by entering through the front door! There was barely a greeting, the facial expression was as sour as if it was an insult it was a work day, and how dare I ordering? It's also quite rude starting to put up the chairs on the tables 45 minutes before closing the restaurant! It makes the guests feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. Not nice! I ordered different breakfast dishes at different visits, a parfait, a sandwich, and the avocado-toast today, and not one of them was tasty, rich, vitamin-infused, or well-cooked enough to justify the price they're asking for, I'm sorry. The coffees are excellent, the dishes are not. I think, after today's visit I consider looking around for another coffeeshop that's worth spending some time at."
"We stopped in here on a Saturday morning. We got nitro coffee and The Lift Bridge breakfast sandwich and a Towpath breakfast sandwich. Very very good. And the artwork is really cool too."
