from Google & Yelp"I love Little Chef Little Cafe, and I’m not the only one - there’s a whole wall of notes from folks who appreciate Chef Diana’s warmth and kindness and the delicious food and drinks made in the little kitchen with a lot of love. I’ve been coming to Little Chef Little Cafe for my midday/midafternoon snack once or twice a week since moving to LIC 5 years ago! The food is delicious, vibrant, bright, well-seasoned, and sometimes playful!! Some of my favorites on the menu are: the cheddar pepper scones, Brookie (brownie cookie), mini chocolate croissants, pork adobo rice bowl, green machine smoothie, ginger tea (great hot or iced), lemonades, and too many cupcakes to count! 😋 And on the rare occasions when I’ve asked for an adjustment to be made to my order - like heating up the ginger tea or hot chocolate to scalding hot if I’m going on a long walk - Diana and her team were incredibly accommodating. Not only is Diana a wonderful and creative chef, she’s also a deeply kind and generous person. When funding for food assistance was frozen last fall, Diana gave away free healthy meals and mobilized neighbors to donate food to support those who needed the help. 💛"
"Kaldareta sandwich was really good, The homemade focaccia Bread was so soft. And I paired it with a Ube Matcha latte. AMAZING!!! Also got the fig toast. 10/10. This place is known for making everything from scratch OMG."
"Every time I’ve been to Little Chef Little Cafe here in Long Island City, I’ve walked out smiling. The vibes are so warm and welcoming that half the time I end up ordering just because everyone is genuinely that nice. And I genuinely believe that flows into the food and services. And the owner, Diana? Literally the sweetest. If you get a chance to say hi to her, do it!! she’s a total doll and makes the place feel special in a way that’s hard to describe until you experience it. It’s tucked into a little corner of LIC and somehow brings this cozy, homey feeling to the neighborhood. I’m honestly so glad I found it, and it makes me even happier to live here surrounded by such good people and local spots like this."
"Had the pleasure of attending the dinner service with Chef Diana last night. Everything was absolutely delicious and each course complimented the previous and built on the overall experience. The intimate setting and family style eating experience also added to the atmosphere of a wonderful night of great food with friends. Very much looking forward to using the pork belly leftovers for breakfast (the portions are definitely not small and everyone had their fill). I wish I could name a standout dish but every single one was amazing that I can’t bring myself to just name one. Thanks you for the wonderful night Diana"
"The avocado toast was pretty bad. It's with avocado puree, which I noticed on the menu and asked the staff, who said, "it's good quality, I'm very picky, and I think it's good." I hesitated -- never had avocado puree with avocado toast before , so was dubious -- but decided to give it a try anyway on the merit of their enthusiasm. I also added 2 fried eggs. They first brought out the avocado toast without the eggs, so I had to remind them. Then later the two fried eggs were unrecognizable. Then whatever the black sauce they put on top, it was gross. Strong flavor effectively completely masked any avocado flavor that might have existed. The worst avocado toast I have ever had 🤣 1 ⭐ for the food. and 2 ⭐ overall. The staff were polite and friendly, so I didn't have any issue with them."
"I participated in a Yelp event and checked out this café. As soon as you walk in you know you're in for a treat with the different scents begging for you..."
