On my recent visit, I found that this brewery blends the best of small-town charm with a level of quality and professionalism you might expect from a nationally known craft brand. Just outside of downtown Ithaca, the brewery feels tucked away in the countryside. Surrounded by greenery and open skies, it offers an inviting mix of rustic comfort and modern design. The building itself is spacious and airy, with a farmhouse-inspired aesthetic that reflects the region’s agricultural roots. A large outdoor beer garden with picnic tables, string lights, and plenty of room to spread out immediately set the tone for a relaxing afternoon. Inside, the atmosphere was equally welcoming. The taproom is bright, lively, and buzzing with conversation. Staff were attentive and genuinely friendly, creating an easygoing environment where both locals and visitors felt equally at home. Of course, the star of the show is the beer. Ithaca Beer Company has been around since the late 1990s and is best known for its flagship Flower Power IPA; which was excellent. I made sure to try it fresh on draft, and it did not disappoint—bright, citrusy hops balanced by a malty backbone that made it as approachable as it was flavorful. Beyond Flower Power, the tap list offered an impressive variety: crisp lagers, hazy IPAs, sours, and seasonal drafts. Ithaca Beer Company offers a little bit of everything: expertly brewed beer, delicious food, friendly service, and a setting that encourages you to slow down and savor the moment. Whether you’re a craft beer enthusiast making a pilgrimage or simply someone looking for a great spot to relax with friends, this place delivers. A must-visit locale!"

"Yesterday my family visited Ithaca Brewery. We sat inside since they were having problems with 🐝 outside. We sat down and ordered drinks and appetizers. Beer selection was good... 1/2 of us got flights of tasters. 1st round of appetizers arrived. No napkins... No silverware... No plates... we had to ask. Beer and food was good. We ordered more appetizers as soon as the plates arrived. Then it took forever to get more beer. I guess they were waiting for food to be done... but it was like 20mins. Usually never have to wait that long. It was good, but took too long."

"Been waiting years to finally come here. Some of my favorite beers of all time are here. And the staff was so hospitable. Especially Jim at the bar (hopefully I remembered his name). Served us and was courteous to give us a tour after emailing their events person. His tour was better than many other breweries. Way more knowledgeable and personable than other tours. If I was local I'd be here all the time. This was everything I've ever dreamed of."

"PLEASE BEING THE CHEDDAR ALE SOUP BACK!!! I love this place, and I always take guests here, especially the beer lovers! I don't drink beer, but I LOVE their fresh root beer on tap. Sometimes, I order a shot of vodka and add it to my root beer. The food is so delicious and locally derived. You can sit outside and enjoy the gorgeous view, or sit in the air conditioning inside. It's a fun atmosphere. Update: We had Meredith as our server, and she was so sweet and helpful. We ate the burger, grilled cheese, fry flight, cheddar ale soup, and chicken sandwich. All food was delicious! Update: the seasonal beet salad with chicken is amazing!"
