What People Are Saying
from Google & Yelp"Pulled up to Elm Roastery Cafe in Elmhurst like I was just grabbing a quick coffee… walked out feeling cultured, productive, and emotionally supported ☕️😤 This place is fancy but not trying too hard. Artisan coffee that tastes like it went to school, but priced like it still lives in Queens. Cozy, clean, plenty of seating (yes, even in the back), and somehow there’s always a spot—perfect for working, meetings, or pretending you’re working while eating pastries. Now let’s talk damage: • Teddy Bear Financier 🧸 — a teddy bear-shaped almond cake with chocolate accents. Cute? Yes. Manly? Surprisingly. Delicious? Absolutely undefeated. • Ham & cheese croissant — baked fresh daily, buttery, classic, zero notes. • Beef empanada — straight home run. No debate. • Cold brew — fresh, smooth, flavorful, and didn’t bully my stomach. Staff? Super kind, helpful, and actually happy to be there. Bathrooms? Clean enough to trust. Atmosphere? Warm, inviting, neighborhood gold. Elm Roastery is a major win for Queens. Come to work, come to chill, come to eat a teddy bear pastry and question your masculinity for 2 seconds before ordering another one. 📍83-30A Broadway, Elmhurst, Queens ☕️ Support good coffee. "Solid food for 5–6 people everything was fast, tasty, and definitely worth it. We spent about $68 total on drinks and pastries for five people, which felt reasonable for the quality. The drinks were amazing! We tried the cookie butter hot chocolate matcha and the raspberry hot cocoa, and everyone loved their drink no complaints at all. My favorite pastries were the cinnamon roll and the scone. Everything was great, and the place was clean with a cool vibe."
"It's a shame the staff member here was spreading rumors about the customers, because the other staff was really a great barista and the latte here is otherwise really good. The bad taste in my mouth of hearing misinformation being shared about me while trying to get some work done here was enough for me to warn others not to support this place. My only kink is karma for the record. Spread facts and love, or espresso instead of half baked rumors. Tell the staff here not to talk down on their customers, or at least do so in private .. I would hate for someone else to have to go through the experience the staff member here put me through. The poor barista who poured a quality latte stood confused and it's a shame they don't get a five star review because their coworker has no respect."
"Fantastic coffee, creative and beautiful drinks, and talented baristas! Friendly service. The best espresso is not in Manhattan or Williamsburg, it is surprisingly in Elmhurst!"
"We often go to this place. But lately, every time we visit, the staff has been terrible. Like this morning, when we asked for cutlery for three (THREE!!)plates of croissants, the staff only gave us one pair. I know this isn't a big deal for some people. But for us, it's a big deal! Just asking, "How many cutlery pieces do you need won't ruin your day, right? Come on!" I haven't expected your friendliness at the ordering desk in a long time! But please be nice when people ask for what they need at your cafe!"
