What People Are Saying
from Google"We LOVED this spot. Smaller but big on charm & taste. Authentic Italian food that smells & tastes fantastic. Perfectly cooked. Friendly staff, not overcrowded, & food came out fast. They have one half that is a sit down restaurant with service staff & the other half is the bakery & take out/ window service & a self serve seating area that's less formal if you just want a quick slice of pizza or pie. It was really decked out for Christmas, very beautiful & fun. Fyi: Street parking only. Will return!!"
"You know, I used to love this place and rave about it and order weekly in person and during the week for lunch as well. Last time I ordered the pizza was awful and the manager Shannon was extremely rude- which surprised me because everyone there is usually very friendly. Today I wanted to give them another try- everyone has an off day. So, I order on UberEats and the pizza tastes as terrible as it looks. The basil is definitely not kept fresh - grow it and cook with it all the time and it’s obvious that it’s been sitting around. It’s overcooked, somehow not cooked all the way in the center, and there is just this off-flavor that I can’t place. I don’t know if the vegetables are just not fresh or if due to prices they’re lowering their quality. Whatever it is, my relationship of years with this place is over. I’m not spending my hard earned money for terrible food - and they should and do know better. From my previous experience they do not care about feedback and as I said earlier, that manager Shannon is extremely rude and could use training in customer service and general respect for others. They obviously also don’t care because notice that they do not comment on the negative reviews here to express apologies or offer to make it right somehow. I’m just thankful that UberEats refunded me for this order after seeing the photos - because the rest of it is going straight to the trash where it belongs. What a sad and unfortunate situation."
"First time I've been there in almost 10 years. I need to note, the service was fantastic. I didn't catch her name but she was extremely kind and attentive. The desserts look just as I remembered. Picturesque and out of a magazine. However, and it kills me to say, atmosphere is okay, food was kind of bland despite large portions and lots of fruit flies at my table. The desserts and hospitality alone are absolutely worth the trip as everyone there is SO kind but as much as it pains me, everything else seemed to miss the mark :(. Again, very friendly staff and desserts to die for but it crushes me to give them anything under 4 stars."
"What more can be said of a local staple that hasn't already been said? I feel like anything I say will have been said already, in another voice, at another time. Well here goes: Food: If you had any doubts before, set them aside. Portions are huge, sauce is flavorful. Whether you opt for a pizza with crisp, thin slices, a panino with options galore, or one of many pasta choices. I've had so many in the several times I've visited, and they do not disappoint. I WILL eat the burratta and suffer the consequences of my actions because it's just that kind of place. Service: Olive Garden doesn't have shit on this place, I feel like family here more than I do in that half baked monstrosity of a restaurant. I don't need breadsticks when I have fresh bread and tapenade brought to my table. Bread is the name of the game, and the servers are playing pro. Everyone has shitty days, but the people here make that a little better. Atmosphere: Okay, it's a little kitschy. But if that doesn't perfectly encapsulates the Italian-American experience, I'm not sure what does. I know I'm in the right place when I come through the doors and I see cannoli, pannetone, and tiramisu in front of me. If an Italian restaurant doesn't have the little statue of the chef guy there, I DO NOT WANT IT. Give it a go, and make sure you save room for dessert."
"We went here to have brunch. Everything was good with the food and service. We did decide to sit outside during a heatwave so I do not recommend that. The food tasted very fresh. The portions were very big. I really liked the bread and garlicky paste. Very soft and the garlic was so tasty. The service was good. Nothing negative to say here. She was friendly. The atmosphere is nice. Sitting outside, you have a nice view of the busy street or you can dine inside where it's much quieter and darkly lit. Overall, good experience. This would be a place I would consider revisiting if I'm feeling italian."
