from Google"Stopped by The Roasting House and ordered an Americano — excellent. Clean, balanced cup with a silky crema, medium-bodied and steady from first sip to finish. Brightness lands in the citrus/cocoa lane without tipping sour; no burnt or bitter edge. Temperature and dilution were on point (tastes like a 2:1 water-to-espresso ratio), letting the espresso’s character shine instead of washing it out. Barista was friendly and precise, dialed in the shot, and had the drink out fast. Space is comfortable for a quick pause or laptop session, with a calm soundtrack and plenty of natural light. A well-pulled Americano that respects the roast and the recipe. If you judge a café by its basics, The Roasting House passes with ease."
"I've never been to virgina city and was in town for my brother's wedding. I have celiac and saw they offered gluten free, I went in and asked, they said they make everything on separate equipment and as safe as they can. Im a very sensitive celiac and I DID NOT get sick at all from eating here!! Would highly recommend if youre there!!"
"We had breakfast here. The food was ok - the waffle was a little overcooked and flavorless, and the egg scramble was good but the toast was barely toasted and served with cold butter. The staff seemed disinterested and sort of upset to have customers come in. We won’t come back here. The view from the deck was nice though."
"If your looking for a lite vegetarian option in Virginia city look no further than here. This bagel sandwich was absolutely amazing. Let me just say artichoke. I was a little sad at the state of the grilled cheese but the flavor of the garlic butter they used was absolutely a game changer. And the sunset smoothie was delicious."
"This place was recommended by the local hotel The Silverland as a place to get a warm breakfast and coffee. It has a limited breakfast as it is more of a coffee shop which was fine. I got a large coffee with cream and it was very good once you get used to the flavor of the coffee. Breakfast was a waffle combo (scrambled eggs with grated cheese and bacon) the eggs were excellent, I liked the grated cheese, the bacon has an excellent smokey flavor but was a bit over cooked (dry) and the waffle was over cooked, very dry and crumbly, didn't really taste like waffle batter either. But I ate it. Overall a good breakfast nice folks and nice establishment. They have seating indoors and out, outdoors has some killer views, indoors has tables and counter space."
