"I absolutely love finding hidden gems while I'm traveling this country, but I was not prepared for M&M's Southern Cafe today! I'm from Utah, so I wasn't raised with that delicious southern soul food that I heard so much about from banned books and movies in our quaint little bubble state. That's a good chunk of my motivation for hunting down local flavors and cuisines. I like to check out Google too see what people are saying. Well, I saw this place has a pretty good rating, so when I saw the crazy bad review on here, it piqued my curiosity to the max! Came here for lunch while we were setting up for the EnduroCross event this weekend at the Livestock Center and ordered the Gator Sticks that came with some hush puppies & I got the collards for the side, OOOOOOOH WEE! Also got a huge sweet tea and a sweet potato pie that were quite yummy! "We were looking for a southern restaurant to eat for New Year's Day and we got everything we needed to start our New Year. I had the liver and onions, my husband had the chicken gizzards and my son had chicken strips. And of course black eye peas and collard and corn bread. Everything was great. I will go again when I visit Reno NV again."
