from Google"First time visiting....so delicious! Hubby had poke and it was fresh and tasty. I had mixed plate, Teriyaki beef and chicken. Came with rice and pasta salad. Brought me straight back to memories of Maui. Excellent service. A small place with a big flavor."
"I recently embarked on a quest to find the best Chicken Katsu in town, and my culinary journey led me to the charming little spot known as Loco Ono - Poke & Hawaiian BBQ in Sparks, Nevada. This hidden gem is not only a fantastic place to dine in, but also offers the option to take your order to go. Let's talk about the star of the show - the Chicken Katsu with rice and curry. Oh boy, was it amazing! The chicken was perfectly crispy on the outside, while remaining juicy and tender on the inside. The Japanese Curry had just the right amount of spice, adding an extra kick of flavor to the dish. And let's not forget about the rice, which was cooked to perfection, making every bite a delightful experience. Aside from the mouthwatering food, Loco Ono also offers a variety of refreshing beverages. They have a soda fountain machine and a drink fridge stocked with a mix of great drinks, ensuring that you'll find the perfect accompaniment to your meal. One thing that really stood out to me was the exceptional service provided by the staff. They were super friendly and always ready to answer any questions I had. Their helpfulness added to the overall positive dining experience at Loco Ono. If you happen to find yourself in Sparks and craving a taste of the islands, I highly recommend stopping by Loco Ono - Poke & Hawaiian BBQ. Whether you're looking for a casual dining experience or a quick takeout option, this restaurant has got you covered. Trust me, you won't be disappointed!"
"Rice excellent! Fried chicken excellent! Teri beef excellent! Macaroni salad banging! Big selection of fun Hawaiian drinks, and super nice people working here! I'll definitely be back and if you're in the mood for an island picnic you should come on down!"
"Convenient location off N McCaren in the Iron Horse Center. Lots of parking with handicap access. It was our first time here. We were greeted right away by the staff. Our server Marina was awesome. She was courteous, extremely friendly, caring and patient. She explained the menu options, the servings and toppings which made it easy for selecting. She really has the aloha spirit. We also met Rigo who was very friendly as well. The portions were generous. Everything was fresh. They cook the plate lunches upon ordering. We dined in and took home leftovers. The chicken teriyaki plate lunch and tuna and salmon poke bowl were over the top delish (ono). It is truly Hawaiian cooking. We chose Hawaiian drinks. Outdoor dining is available. Restroom is in the back. We definitely will return."
"Poke and the cooked food are both good with big portions. My favorite is the mochiko fried chicken and their complimentary mac salad really ties everything together."
