"Well ..With a little extra greenery in my poke I decided to drop it on the blackjack table and let it ride for 3 consecutive hands...so that's exactly what I did. So ..After tipping the dealer 40 bucks I headed straight to the Black Bear Diner for some of that house-made meatloaf, I know it doesn't sound like a meal you celebrate with but Man-O-Man is it great! 5 ☆☆☆☆☆ for sure!"

"This restaurant has always had a homey, cozy vibe no matter which BBD I have been to. The decor is very cute. Our server, who was also the Hostess, is super friendly and efficient. The portions have always been HUGE! I usually get the Biscuits & Gravy, but they were just ok this time. The hashbrowns were delicious, loved the textures of the crispy bits"

"This diner meets and exceeds any metric one could have. All of my meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner) have been well prepared and DELICIOUS! Servers are energetic, attentive and engaging. You don’t find that kind of service unless people are really happy. Leona and Brian keep their teams running smoothly. I usually sit at the counter so I can watch the kitchen and service crews keep the customers fed and happy. The managers step in to help wherever and whenever they can. It’s quite a dance! Best of all, I only live three minutes away, so I’ve visited often and BBD has been consistently in my ‘favorites’ category! Sincerely, Robert"

"Our waitress was friendly. The coffee tasted like burnt coffee pot. The potatoes with onions and bell peppers was burnt. The steak was overly cooked. The clam chowder was nice and hot with plenty of bites. The bread on my tuna melt kept falling apart. I’ve been to other of these same diners and this one actually disappointed me."

"We were traveling today because I had to take a test. My wife took one car and I took the other. She walked in with 4 kids and I came shortly after because I had to park the dodge ram. Long story short my wife asked 4x in 45minutes for a server. I had to leave because I forgot my passport and needed to take my CPA exam . I came back and they hadn't ordered, gotten coffee, or not one server had been to the table. Apparently no one wanted to take her table because she had kids. The servers were fighting over who wasn't going to serve her. I walked up and in 2 minutes a server came up. I gets servers don't want to take tables with kids but to do that and treat kids like this the server should not be employed. The blonde server who's section we were in refused to take our table. At the end of the day my wife left $100 tip on a $40 meal and told the server don't judge a book by it's cover. The server brought my food to me as I was leaving to my test. We drove 4hours from out of town to be in Reno today."
