What People Are Saying
from Google"If you aren't staying at the hotel their is zero reason to come here. Even if you are staying at the hotel I wouldn't recommend it. I'm a Hilton Gold client and for two of us I get a $30 credit. Even with the credit applied the food was over priced. I ordered the French Toast and I sent it back as it didn't taste good. I spoke with a manager and she took it off the bill. The staff was friendly, but I don't see a point to eating here when the food isn't good and way overpriced. We will use the daily credit to buy items out of the hotels small market store and will not be eating here again."
"I stayed at the Don Fernando for three weeks on a fire assignment and ate here most every night. I think I had almost the whole menu! The good: the sopapillas, the smothered steak burrito, the fish and chips, the fried stuffed jalapeños, the salads (huge!), and the nachos. The burger was consistently a little charred (three times) and the prices are a little high, but is overall pretty good for hotel food. The service was always friendly, and the restaurant itself is pleasant to sit in, although it was only ever the bar area that was open, not the full seating area."
"Food was great for a hotel. The 3 tacos. Vibe and service are good. As of summer 2025, the evening food hours are 5-9pm, but drinks are 4:30-9:45pm"
"The restaurant is inside the Don Fernando Hotel main building. Food and service are not impressive and overpriced. We ate here a few times because the hotel and therefore the restaurant are dog friendly. I asked about a $5 cup of milk charged to my bill. Bartender lady said "this is what happens when you vacation at a Hilton.""
"As other people have commented, the food is decent/average but overpriced. I'm writing the review, though, because I asked for a table today at 10:44 am. Despite having other guests in the restaurant, the hostess declined to seat me and told me they are only offering take-out at this time. I'm assuming the restaurant closes at 11 am, even though google shows 1 pm. I still think 16 minutes was enough of a window until closing to allow me to be seated. I've had breakfast here twice before and I don't spend 30 minutes in the restaurant. At this point, it's unclear to me the latest time I am able to arrive for breakfast, or if it's just at the whim of the staff. The hotel and restaurant should make that more clear."
