from Google"Doc Martin’s is attached to the Taos Inn. The atmosphere is fairly casual. I gave the atmosphere 4 stars because it isn’t loud! The food offerings were everything from burgers, Mexican, to fish. We opted to skip appetizers and just ordered a main course. We chose the trout which was served over fresh vegetables and the piñon crusted chili rellenos. The flavors were nice and fairly mild. For dessert, a chocolate sundae and carrot cake, pretty basic. The seasonal cocktails were not fancy, but decent. The wine list definitely needs improvement. Highly recommend reservations as the space is on the smaller size and fills up nightly."
"I had the opportunity to dine with you last night (Friday 4/25) and wanted to share some feedback from my experience. I ordered a glass of the Vivac Cab, the wine oxidized as if it had been open for a few days, the second glass I ordered was the Bonanza Cab which my server said she had to open fresh bottle and it was fine. The presentation on the appetizer was fantastic, unfortunately the flavor was less than expected. the Enchilada sauce had almost no flavor. I ordered the adovada plate, I mean I'm visiting New Mexico why not... this entire dish was a mis... the rice and beans had zero flavor... Adovada is supposed to be cooked in red chilis... the color of the meat was brown... no hint of chilis and was very salty. Definitely not a good representation. Service was ok, but I felt like my server spent all her time at her other tables and only stopped by if I gave her a look to swing by... also I'm pretty sure you should clear the entree plate before dropping the check.. I had to move the plate to sign my check. I was in Food & Beverage for 25years, your facility has charm and character... it would have been a home run if the food & bev stood up to the"
"The place was old, walls thick with history, a charm that clung like damp air. Doc Martins hummed, alive, romantic in its weathered way. The server, her eyes green as cut jade, moved with a grace that stirred the blood. She was charming, upbeat, her smile a spark in the dim light. Service was sharp, clean, like a well-honed knife. The wild-caught salmon came, pink and firm, tasting of cold rivers and truth. It was remarkable, each bite a quiet victory. The room whispered of times past, of lovers and fighters, and it held us close. Five stars for the food, the woman, the walls. All of it true."
"Doc Martin’s, at the Taos Inn, is just as quirky as Taos itself. The interior is not quite as upscale as a few other eateries in the area, but it’s set within the original adobe house and celebrates local flavors beyond traditional chile, including choke cherry and fresh trout. Service is good, and the food is fresh and tasty, albeit a bit overpriced."
"For brunch we had the sampler with the blue pancakes which were great,and the huevos rancheros hit the spot.Service was great and chef stopped by to check how everything was. Being a historical site, can't beat the atmosphere."
