from Google"We had a great lunch here on Saturday and Ashley was such a great bartender/waitress. The food here is outstanding, I had mushroom soup (served with a warm wedge of bread) and fish tacos and both were outstanding. I also had a great NA beer I hadn’t had before and I highly recommend, it’s called Bero. They served the west coast IPA and it was excellent. I ran out to sprouts and bought the east coast variety to try. The ambience here is terrific, vibrant enough to feel festive but quiet enough for conversation. The bathrooms qualify as some of the coolest I’ve ever been in with custom brass doors in the stalls. This is our second time here and we’ll return."
"Fantastic restaurant and one of the best experiences we’ve had on our road trip. You do need to get there early if you don’t want to wait for a table as they don’t take reservations but you can leave your name and wait which I noted many people did. Great cocktails and generous portions make this place great value for money."
"La Choza was the right choice. Super friendly & helpful staff, wonderful ambiance, and delicious food. They very well may have the best pozole north of Tijuana and everything else was delicioso también! If you're feeling adventurous try the Green Chili Clam Chowder... and this review is coming from a Chowder House in Maine ⚓️"
"This is a VERY busy place. There is a parking lot, but it was full. I found on street parking pretty close to the restaurant. We had a one hour wait for a table. The outside seating area was so pleasant that the hour went by quickly. Service is excellent. The restaurant decor is charming and enhances our experience. I had a relleno and a cheese enchilada. Les had a tamale and a cheese enchilada. We also had sopapillas. The food was good. We both thought that we have had better, but it is good. It’s possible that we didn’t order the strength of the menu. After all, with so many local people eating there, it speaks well of the place."
"I have a very high tolerance for spicy food and rarely find anything too hot to finish — but the green chili soup here was so spicy I couldn’t finish it. The chile relleno and blue corn burrito were just okay. The service was good. Honestly, I’m not sure why this place has such high ratings."
