"Our dinner service at El Farol was fantastic. Our server Jose was on top of it. Super friendly and helped elevate our experience overall. The food was amazing as well. Sat for the pre set menu with the flamenco dancing. Such a wonderful time. Super cool and fun to watch. Haven't done anything like that before and would highly recommend to anyone going to Santa Fe. Show up early for your choice of table for the show. Parking across the street if you're willing to pay."

"I cannot begin to describe how amazing of an experience we had for my husband’s birthday dinner with my in-laws at El Farol. We were greeted like family and instantly seated. The tapas were extraordinary! In the most positive sense, the menu doesn’t do the flavors of each dish justice. Try it all! The main courses melted in our mouths. The desserts! Omg! Things I normally wouldn’t order were beyond expectations. I cannot give El Farol enough praises. We talked about the meal all night and even the next day. The owners are spectacular people and it was an honor meeting them! Thank you for making my husband’s birthday dinner incredible. If you’re traveling to or live in Santa, you NEED to stop here."

"Category: Tapas. Possibly the oldest restaurant (100+ years) in this even older town (400+ years), El Farol is THE place to go for both tapas and old Santa Fe charm. The NYT once called the long bar one of the best bars on earth (really). It hasn’t changed much in over 100 years, so it’s still among the best. There’s often live music in the bar room or dining room, as there was during our recent visit. Outdoor tables line the front side, along Canyon Road, and there’s a shaded portal (Santa Fe speak for covered patio) out back. On our most recent visit we sat outside. Our friend flirted with one of the band members, who was playing just inside the window from our table. A good time was had by all. Inside, beams and vigas (round beams are called vigas in Santa Fe), well-worn wooden floors, and original art set the rustic tone. "Went for the flamenco show fix price dinner on Saturday night during restaurant week. The menu is simple with a Spanish flair. The bar has mixed drinks, beer, and wines (also with a Spanish tilt). The food was good and the portions generous. The service was attentive even though the restaurant was packed. The show is definitely the main attraction. The dancers and the musicians were very good. I would recommend to get to the restaurant 20-30 minutes early to get the best seats. Free parking is not available so take a cab or park on East Alameda Street and walk over the bridge on East Palace Avenue."

"We visited El Farol for the Flamenco show. Every portion of the food was delicious, the service was great and we were well taken care of, and the flamenco show was intimate and emotive. We would certainly go back. We had the Paella which was great and the lemon dessert which I could not get enough of!"
