"I drove 30 minutes to try your store because of the great reviews. I bought three drinks — a passion fruit, a lychee, and a green tea. Sadly, all three were disappointing in taste, and the service was even worse. I understand that flavor is a personal preference, but what shocked me was the attitude of your staff — cold, dismissive, and unwelcoming. Even worse, I couldn’t help but feel I was treated differently because of my race. Do your employees believe certain ethnicities are somehow more deserving of respect? This experience was deeply upsetting. I hope you take this seriously and reflect on the way customers are being treated."
"We got the Cheese Rose Oolong Tea and Thai Tea both with boba and they were terrible. The drinks themselves literally taste like water, not even kidding the thai tea had 0 flavor. The boba is extremely overcooked and has like a stiff gelatin texture rather than normal chewy tapioca? It was so bad I actually couldn’t drink it and just threw it away. The servers were nice but no idea why this place is popular. Just go to Kung Fu Tea."
"I went into the store today to buy aThai Tea. I have purchased a Thai Tea several other times before from this location w/out any issues. This time was different. Once I tasted the Thai Tea today, it tasted like water. So I told the girl and she rolled her eyes at me and said "What do you want me to do about it?". I asked her if she could remake it, at that point she grabbed my drink from me and rudely asked me to remove the straw from my cup, when I went to grab the straw, she yanked the cup away, causing some of the drink to spill on the counter, in which she walks away. So I nicely cleaned it up, so the customer behind me didn't have to worry about it. She remakes my drink, places it on the counter and walks away, without checking if the remade drink was better. We'll it wasn't. So at that point I just took my loss and walked out. Never experienced this kind of service before, so leads me to believe that the place is going downhill. I will not be returning and will seek out a new boba spot now."
"This is the fifth time I’ve come to this Hi Boba location, and once again they’re out of black boba and sugar boba. I honestly don’t understand how a place that specializes in boba tea never actually has boba available. Every time, it’s the same excuse — “we just ran out 20 minutes ago.” I arrived today at 7:30 PM, and they close at 9. So they apparently ran out around 7:10? That’s unacceptable for a business that’s supposed to be prepared for normal operating hours. It doesn’t matter when I come; it’s always the same story: “It takes an hour to make more.” Well, if you know you’re running low, make more before you run out. It really feels like the staff just doesn’t care and wants to get out early instead of providing good service. I love boba, but this location is consistently unprepared and unprofessional. If management doesn’t fix this, they’re going to lose loyal customers like me."
