"We visited Mesilla from El Paso for the farmers and craft market. There were lots of options to choose from for lunch, but we chose this place because of the price and the options. I am vegan and my husband is not. The cauliflower tacos sounded good and that's what I had. I asked them not to use oil because I cannot digest oil and they did exactly that. My husband had the tofu scramble which was really good and tasty. The cauliflower tacos were a little bit bland, but I'm happy that they didn't have a lot of oil or salt and I didn't get an upset stomach. It was nice to sit outside. There was also plenty of inside air-conditioned room but we chose to sit outside. It's a nice area to sit outside underneath the tree, although the flies were bothering us."

"I need to actually try a latte here. I've eaten here twice. Typical cafe style food. The Pesto Turkey sandwich is actually pretty tasty. Warm, yoasted, you can taste the pesto, turkey, and cheese. The Chipotle Turkey Wrap, was a bit bland. It was fresh overall, though the Chipotle was very mild. I could only taste the avocado and the hint of Chipotle sauce. I don't know why they use cubed Turkey, and for whatever reason, I couldn't even taste the flavor of the turkey. I wouldn't recommend the wrap here. Ate outside, it was lovely overall, a cool winter day. Was not fond of the smooth jazz music. I felt like I was stuck in an elevator."

"My favorite breakfast place in Mesilla. When staying in Mesilla, we make a point of grabbing breakfast here at least once. I love the yogurt, granola, and fresh fruit. It's good coffee, too. You order at the counter, and your food is brought to you at your table. We always sit in the back patio when the weather permits. It's a large patio area with overhead fans for those warmer mornings. I like that dogs are only allowed in the front patio area, so they don't disturb other customers who want a relaxing breakfast. Part of the charm of Josefina's is the close proximity to the church. It's wonderful hearing the church bells as you eat your breakfast surrounded by the great landscaping. The staff here are good too and always friendly."
