from Google"⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Came in this Saturday morning with my girlfriend and had an amazing experience from start to finish. She ordered The Chancla (English muffin with house-made chorizo, scrambled eggs, and cheese), and I had The Five Oh Five Benito with turkey, green chile, bacon, poached eggs, English muffin, and hollandaise, both were outstanding. The food was flavorful, comforting, and clearly made with care. The green chile was perfect and warmed us right up on a gloomy Saturday morning. Even the kale and tomato salad blew me away and that’s saying a lot because I’m usually not a kale fan. The service was excellent, the staff was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was warm, cozy, and welcoming. The vibes were great, the drinks were just as good as the food, and everything felt thoughtfully done. We’ll definitely be back and highly recommend stopping in if you’re anywhere near the San Mateo and Gibson area. Worth the drive, worth the experience, and absolutely worth a visit."
"Stopped in for lunch for the first time today. I had the elote benito (oops, took a bite before realizing I had better take a photo of it). It was great! Light, fresh, unique, colorful. Loved the tomato and kale salad that came with it. We also tried the tres leches French toast, which was sublime. Fans of the erstwhile Tía Betty Blue’s, you need to check this place out! Same location, different restaurant/owners/concept, great food."
"Delicious hardly describes the food we ate this morning. We got the Elote Benedict and Chilequiles, and were blown away with the flavors they were packed with. Nothing we would have expected from walking into this little hole in the wall. The food was anything but basic brunch food. The young couple that owns this place definitely got it right when they put their menu together. The service was stellar. Atmosphere was warm and café-ish. This made its way to the top spot of our after church brunch rotation in one visit. Definitely worth the trip."
"This place feels very cozy and down to earth. I might have ordered too much food for one person, but I think it was worth it my inner glutton was very happy. I got a hazelnut vanilla latte, a soup and sandwich combo and an apple crumble cinnamon roll. The latte was rich and delicious. It wasn't overly sweet or too over flavored. The sandwich was a turkey sandwich on green chile focaccia with avocado lettuce and tomato and cheese. The soup was a broccoli cheddar soup with bacon sprinkled on top. Both the soup and sandwich were pretty big you could easily split this meal with someone and get full. The green chile focaccia was special. It was light fluffy and not too oily or greasy. The soup was creamy and cheesy, I do wish it had more broccoli though. Lastly the cinnamon roll with apple crumble was pretty big. It was served warm. It made me really feel fall vibes. Everything was delicious. It was a little pricey for me, but I did order a lot of food. Between two people might be the better plan. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The space is kind of small so keep that in mind when going there. They also have some out door seating available. All in all, it was a great experience."
"A small place with big flavors! I showed up for the gluten free chicken fried steak and I wasn’t disappointed! My friends all enjoyed their food but they did say the chile was on the hot side. ❤️"
