from Google"The drinks and dessert were the best parts. We dined at Brigade for our anniversary dinner. I had high hopes; but, unfortunately, it wasn't great. Some parts were better than others though. I'll start with appetizers. We ordered oysters and a baguette. The oysters were good but I found the mignonette lacking flavor. There was nothing special about the baguette. We were given two options for compound butter and asked if we could try both. The sweeter of the two options was better and we were charged for the second. My husband and I both ordered ribeyes with chimichurri for our entrees. Both steaks were overcooked and not at all tender. We've had better at more affordable restaurants. I ordered the "Boss Nova" cocktail, the flavors were okay for the most part but it was severely watered down. My husband ordered the non-alcoholic "Cream Dream" and had the same response. The dessert was definitely the star of the show. We opted for the Banana Tarte Tatin and Kladdkaka. It was definitely the highlight of the entire meal. Food aside, the restaurant was a little noisy, which was to be expected. The part of the experience we primarily found lacking was the service. Our waitress very rarely checked on us and only refilled our water once. I'm bummed we had a lackluster experience. If we ever come back, it would just be for dessert."
"I've enjoyed many happy hours at Brigade, and it never disappoints! They have some of the best happy hour deals around— martinis, cocktails and beer specials. The fries are tasty, the oysters are fresh, and while I haven't tried much else on the menu yet, everything I've had has been enjoyable. The staff is always friendly and helpful, and the setting above Main Ave is a fantastic spot to relax. I also love that the restaurant has several different spaces, making it fun to sit in a new area each visit and experience a different vibe."
"This is a fancy restaurant with way too great of a happy hour menu. There were cheap great drinks, my friend had a $3.50 martini and I had a lemon sour. The Parmesan fries on happy hour were only $10 and were delicious served with ranch. I would definitely come back for happy hour and even dinner, great vibe inside and the food and drinks were great. 10/10 happy hour! 🍻"
"Brigade definitely has a more upscale menu and feel. Nice wide and open bar with stool seating around. Open kitchen has a fun feel to it. Chairs are surprisingly supportive but somewhat odd at the high table we were at. Just much deeper and softer than one would expect so beware. Smaller but decent list of draft beers and a huge selectionh of various liquors and spirits including a nice wine list. food was quite good and among the best for our week in Bozeman. Staff very attentive - Lucy was excellent managing our large group with aplomb. Charcuterie board was tasty with delicious olives but way too much mustard and not enough cheeses. Crab cakes were ok - too crunchy for me - but you’re likely not in Bozeman for seafood. The bison short rib was divine. Polenta super creamy and flavorful. Collards packin an amazing vinegary punch. Definitely pricy but worth the extra bucks."
"Stopped by Brigade at the tail end of lunch service, so service was a bit non-existent throughout. 4 of us had: brigade house salad $17 2 frites $12 ea french onion $13 pork ribs $19 4 health shots They do have a 3% credit card surcharge that we weren't aware of. We also did order the chicken and waffles, but the server forgot, since the fries were on the larger portions and were very salty, so it definitely satiated our appetite. Overall, food was decent. Street parking only."
