"The vibe was there and you ordered through your phone on a QR code that they provided. Every time something was ordered, a ding sound would sound and it was very comforting there as well. The prices however, are very bougie and for 2 people that ordered French toast and 2 drinks ended up being $60?!?! I would definitely come back if the prices were lowered. The food quality in my opinion did not meet the standards of each persons meal being $30 especially for a breakfast place."

"I wanted to love this place. It is basically 4 breakfast places in one (they have burgers, breakfast, what seems to be a bakery and a coffe bar/bar). Sadly, it's kind of chaotic and messy. We had 4 of us. We ordered 3 from the breakfast (chicken/french toast and two traditional breakfasts with sausage, potato and toast/english muffin with eggs). The traditional breakfast was terrible. After waiting for 40 minutes we got cold eggs, breakfast potatos that seemed to "try to hard" and taste bad and pretty sure my sausage wasn't cooked (this is fresh sausage) so I didn't even eat it. Our breakfast (one of the kids got a burger which he said was fabulous) was $100 if that tells you about costs. We "tipped" our server when we purchased (this is requested) and basically never saw them to even complain about our breakfast. The highlight was we just started buying things from the bakery which gets 5 stars (croissants, pastries were delicious). Bakery was expensive as well but honestly worth it. The food was 1 star but giving 3 stars because the burger was great and bakery is great. Also got the Mimosa flight (not part of the original $100 dollars spent) and that was great as well. Drinks and bakery items came out quick - everything else was an apology it took so long. Again, wanted to love this place but they need to have someone out there actually checking on tables."

"Still a really good experience here but not as good as beard and the boss or revenant. I only ordered a soup dumpling on the side ($2) and their potato squares on the side ($3) so I didn’t have a bona fide meal here. The soup dumpling was tasty but small and it seemed a little fried? Not how I normally have them but still good. My real issue is with the potatoes. They were so flaky but sooo deep fried. I know that’s how they come but the fried flavor was a little too much for me. To be fair, I ordered it with the zoodle salad from beard and the boss so Maybe that was a bad call. Would come again to try something else but not my top pick in Dainty Maid Food Hall!"

"This was my first time coming to this place, and I don’t think I’ll be rushing to come back. My review has nothing to do with the kindness of the people working there. They were very friendly. Starting right away, we were confused as to if we were at the right place or not. “The Breakfast Club” was hidden amongst four other spots inside a collective restaurant “unit”. Not easy to see from the outside from the POV of a new person to South Bend. From there, we were not thrilled that there are no paper menu options. It cannot be that expensive in 2025 to have handheld menus available. The water had a funky taste to it. Not sure if that was a South Bend issue or a flavor added in, but certainly was not the best tasting water. I cannot comprehend why a customer would tip service prior to receiving it. That seems unethical to me as part of the pre-eating experience. Pay for a meal before eating? That’s a cafeteria philosophy and is wrong. I feel bad for the workers. They seemingly have to go from being servers to bakers to bartenders and more. That’s certainly a lot of responsibility for a job that i’m sure doesn’t pay all that well. The food was fine. Nothing amazing. I wouldn’t pay the prices we did for a breakfast burger that was battling itself to see who would have the strongest flavor coming out of it. In my opinion, a good breakfast sandwich is harmonious. The ingredients compliment the centerpiece of it, which is usually the protein. This sandwich had a McDonalds hashbrown on top of meats that had competing flavors to it, with a mayo that we barely had any of. Overall- the place is confusing and not what we’d hoped for. The review is not a shot against the staff who were kind and worked very hard. I think systemically the place if flawed. I’m sure it is going for a GEN Z appeal, but for people who are from a small town, it’s not something we’d hurry to come back to eat at. Potential is there with a few changes!"
