from Google"What an absolutely amazing discovery! This spot is way worth coming off the interstate for. We were so happy with our meal: the Pork Chop Special was excellent, and surprisingly, the basic Grilled Cheese tasted amazing—they elevate even simple dishes. Michelle is way awesome and truly helps you feel at home. Do yourself a favor and stop!"
"This is a very tiny diner. The front door opens directly into the dining area. It was very cold out so anytime the door opens everyone freezes. The food is okay and everyone was friendly. I was disappointed mostly because I think that I was over charged. I asked for the bill and was told that I owed $65 (we had 4 cheeseburgers, 4 fries, 3 cokes). I asked again for the bill and was told, "you owe $65." Which seemed about $20 more than I should have owed."
"I googled restaurants in the Richmond area and made the decision to go to Joann’s Cafe. It’s a locally owned business that we wanted to support. The hospitality was great! One of the owners was our waitress and she took great care of us. I had the breakfast bowl and it was delicious. My friend who met me at the restaurant also enjoyed his breakfast as well. The people were very friendly. A complete stranger paid for our meal. We were visiting the Richmond area for the day and were shown unusual hospitality. Thank you Timothy Coleman for your generosity! Blessings to you!"
"Shut the Door!! This place is absolutely amazing and is way worth coming off the interstate. Michelle is way awesome and makes you feel at home. We had the Pork Chop Special and couldn’t be more happy with it. Even the Grilled Cheese tasted amazing as simple as that can be. Do yourself a favor and stop."
"Absolutely amazing, best breakfast in town and super cheap. I got an egg and cheese omelet, hashbrown and toast for 7.50. The omelet was amazing and the toast was the perfect amount of toasted and buttered perfectly. Evey other breakfast place over butters and makes it soggy but it was perfect here. the hashbrown seemed to be a smashed up potatao which I wasn't expecting. After putting salt and ketchup on it it was much better. The coffee was good and the decor and building is so cute. Highly reccomend EDIT- I went again today, and it was absolutely perfect as well, I'm sad I'm moving because this would be a weekly spot. It seems that there are 2 workers here, the cook and waitress. The waitress is sweet and seems to know lots of customers. The hashbrowns today were probably the best I've ever had, coffee and food was hot and yummy"
