from Google & Yelp"First visit after a friend recommended the place. The dark roast coffee was excellent. I wanted the Muffaleta but the employee said they were currently out of the bread. She immediately suggested alternate bread so I could still have the sandwich. The olive spread was excellent, and added plenty of flavor to the sandwich. The jambalaya was also flavorful. Could have been hotter, and the rice was a bit overcooked but still very good. The cornbread was slightly sweet and had a great texture. Left both full and happy. Would definitely recommend this place."
"While visiting Indiana I got a coupon on Facebook BOGO so I thought I'd try the place, the sandwich was delicious! The young lady at the counter what is very helpful since we had never been in there before she helped us order a combo meal. I would definitely return, the sandwich was very very good the guacamole on it was ripe, plenty of bacon and meat!"
"Got the half order of biscuits and gravy and a Melon Julip Italian Soda w/ cream. The cashier was very polite and kind. The server who brought out my order was equally polite and kind, served with a smile. I dont have the biggest tolerance for spicy foods, so to me the biscuits and gravy had quite a kick, but wasnt overpowering and still had great taste. Lobby area is very clean and well kept! Tables cleaned promptly during my visit."
"Chicory Café is one of those places that’s just easy to like. Their breakfast sandwiches are the main reason I keep coming back. It’s nice to have local Cajun-NOLA style dishes. Perfect comfort food, especially on a cold morning. As for the espresso drinks, they’re ok. Not mind-blowing, but definitely better than what you’ll get at the big chains. It’s solid coffee that gets the job done, and the drinks are made with care. You can tell they put in effort even if it’s not the most impressive espresso around."
"I generally love the chicory cafe, i'd have never had a problem until today. Today was bad enough for me to leave at a middling review. I had lunch lunch was wonderful. But I needed a box. I stood up at the register for about 2 minutes. I rang the bell once and then once again. The second time I did, the women came out with the phone on her ear.She didn't make eyes contacted or anything. She even turned her back to me.So I went back and sat down.Thinking I would just leave the food. About five minutes later, she came out and said how can I help you?And I said I needed a box, she said, I was busy on the phone, and I said you could have asked him to hold on for a second or acknowledge me. She literally did the silent front thing like you imagine people doing when they roll their eyes. It was super awful."
