What People Are Saying
from Google"The Egyptian is a nice place to visit but I wouldn’t recommend going every day. I was here for a conference and came two different days. I give them credit because the vibe is guys with headphones- zoned out on their laptops in flow state and hyper focus. Meaning, you stay for 5 or 6 hours and the server takes care of you. Between the two days I spent well over $100 and probably toasted some parts of my lungs - but there are far worse habits. I like the decor. The food is very good. The gyro pizza was probably the best thing I tried. The tea was excellent and the $12 pit has good value because it has about 5 or 6 cups. It pays for itself at the third cup. Thanks for the hospitality WiFi access is good."
"It was confusing walking in as this was my first time here. No one greeted us at the door. Someone eventually came down to the front and told us it was open seating. We ordered water while waiting on everyone else in our group. They have bottled water which I think was $2 per bottle. They have a nice variety of vegetarian options. The food was really good. I would suggest allowing the cauliflower wings to substitute on the platter. They have a rooftop. One choice for a mocktail. Otherwise, you can create your own but it's the same price as a cocktail."
"Good staff. Food was okie. Vegetarian options are available. ( good options). Usually very busy place. The place might reserve your place in advance , please call and confirm. Usually a smoky interior. Good flavors of hookah. Quick service. People with asthma or smoke allergies, please be cautious. Be prepare for security check at the entrance. Appreciate the place for taking extra steps for the safety of everyone. Minimum charge paid parking available right outside the cafe. Wheelchair accessible."
"This place is super chill during the week, I came twice while in Indy. On a Wednesday night & Thursday afternoon. It’s a good place to work during the day & they open at 11. The food was surprisingly good, I had the chicken shawarmadilla & fries (not pictured). The hookah was good as well, they only put 1 coal on top but I asked for a second coal so it smokes better."
"Vibe from outside looks like a quiet place, but the moment you hop in it’s crazy loud. We did a takeout yday for 4 Beef and 1 Chicken Shawarma and it took at least 25 minutes for them to take their order and another 45 minutes to hand over. Never mind the above, the bill came out and we see an 18% Gratuity added for this takeout order. Which is very weird but that’s okay again. Coming home opening the take out boxes seeing the whole ordered messed up, giving us 4 Chicken and 1 Beef instead of what we ordered. Lol big NO. Never gonna visit this place again for such a horrific experience."
