"Great experience! Owners were super nice and seemed like they cared about their customers experience. We ordered, bananagram matcha, sprinkle cookies matcha, and an ice matcha with foam. Both the special matchas were really good and tasted like how the name sounds. The regular ice matcha was smaller than expected but tasted good after A LOT of simple syrup was added, it doesn’t have milk so don’t be surprised when it doesn’t tastes like a Starbucks Matcha Latte. If you want a matcha with milk get the matcha latte. Overall good experiment and will be coming back again."

Lucky for you the team at Recess have that same respect for quality in their matcha, as well as the entire experience at Recess. From floor to ceiling Daniel and Molly have poured themselves into this place, as well as into the glass they hand you of some of Indy’s most curated drinks. If you are looking for that as we say within my circle of friends “that good good” my friend kick your feet up and enjoy a cup. Relaxed atmosphere with amazing drinks."

"Molly and Daniel did all the research on quality and flavor and work directly with a farm in Japan for the freshest Matcha you have ever had. (If you have ever had match in Indiana, it was not fresh or curated like this) I got to try a variety of their creations and enjoyed them all, but my favorite was the hot Smore's with the Hojicha Matcha and Oatmilk. Not only are the drinks thoughtful and delicious, but the space is adorable, making you feel at home in their space. There is plenty of seating to bring friends to catch up or study with and plenty of outlets for working. For entertainment there is a record player and vinyl to chose from as well as games. They will even be able to host movie nights and other events! I know this has been a labor of love for them both, and a dream of Molly's for a long time. It is amazing seeing their vision come to life. I can't wait to go back with friends!"

"Cute new space. I arrived 5/10 minutes before they opened on a Saturday and there was a line. The line did move pretty quickly. The space and the decor were really cute. I think they gave me a cold drink when wanted it hot and I do believed I ask for it to be hot. I'm not going to flat them too much for it since they busy opened. I will definitely be back to order something less basic."
