"Went here with daughter who lives downtown. Was looking for brunch food with some interesting twist and this is the place without being too much. The Chai latte was the best my wife has had. All three in the party ordered omelettes. The eggs were light and fluffy. The bread was sourdough or vegan multi grain and we're both fantastic. The bottomless self serve coffee bar with the house blend was so good that I had to buy a bag of beans for home. Will definitely come back here when in town again for brunch."

"I love this cafe, but this location beats the rest. It’s a very low key vibe. Perfect place to hide away during my lunch break. The bar area is best for that. No wait times and the food is quick! The guy who normally works the bar area is very kind and it’s always great conversation. The specialty drinks are expensive but the espresso machine is $20,000 and coffee beans top tier, so you get what you pay for. 10/10 highly recommend!"

"Food quality overall was good, the menu was misleading on the vegan options. The cuban had eggs and cheese in the menu, as well as a vegan options but there was no explanation on what the substitute was. So we ended up with rice and beans and avocado which was pretty misleading. The vegan crepe was delicious! The waffled grilled cheese sandwich was pretty decent, i wish there was more flavor other than cheese and bread! The roasted turkey sandwich was okay. I would not order it again. The turkey was too chunky and not flavorful."

"The place has potential, we came as a party of three and were greeted with a beautiful smile our server came and introduced herself after we were seated. I didn’t care much for the music it was actually a little bit noisy. We had read previous reviews and I was excited about the availability of vegan options. I chose the Cuban Breakfast which had eggs, sour cream and cheddar cheese. I eat only a vegan diet and this dish had a vegan option available. It escaped me to ask but I thought there will be a replacement for the eggs, cheese and sour cream but instead they just removed them and added a bit of hummus making the dish bland and not worth the money. My mom whose dish came with a side was asked if she wanted salad or fries, she asked for a salad and the salad was basically a pile of arugula leaves. The vegan crepes which another one of us was delicious and had a lovely chard flavour."

"Café Patachou is always bustling and for good reason. The food is consistently excellent, the atmosphere is upbeat, and the service is warm and welcoming. Despite how busy it was during our most recent visit, they were able to seat our group of five in just 25 minutes, which was honestly quicker than I expected given the crowd. Our server (whose name I unfortunately can’t remember) was fantastic friendly, attentive, and made a great recommendation. I went with the Cuban Breakfast, and it was delicious: a fried egg over seasoned black beans, rice, white cheddar, avocado, sour cream, and a spinach-jalapeño pesto that tied everything together perfectly. It was flavorful, fresh, and a really satisfying alternative to typical breakfast fare. The kids had waffles and a burger and were just as happy with their meals. One thing I really appreciate is the self-serve, unlimited coffee bar. It’s a small touch, but it goes a long way especially when you can grab a to-go cup on your way out. Café Patachou continues to be a go to spot for breakfast or brunch. They offer some rotating seasonal items, but the staples are always top-notch. Whether you're a regular or a first-time visitor, you can count on a high-quality meal and a welcoming experience. Highly recommend."
