"I strolled into the building, walking away from the car, windows down and dogos poppin their heads out smiling in the sun… def leppard on “Pour Some Sugar On Me,” heard as I push the pull door. Greeted with a smile and a friendly hello, I presented that this was my first time and needed help picking out donuts. It’s just me and the pups, so I only requested three. This place reminded me of a small donut place in St. Pete, Florida, So I was ready. He recommended the Boston cream filled the raspberry filled in a simple sprinkled donut. I also had to get my addiction of choice, Coffee, As it was Saturday morning, and the sun was shining. When I left, I sat in my car. I took one bite of the sprinkles donut. That bite was filled with softness and love. My brain went to a euphoric place in dreamland for a moment as if nothing existed But me and that donut. By far, the best donut I have ever tried."

"At almost 80 years old, they have had some time to perfect their donuts. Great coffee as well. 4 stars because no taco sauce was available for my breakfast burrito, which was otherwise delicious. If you like historical buildings, then give the atmosphere 5 stars also."

"I've been coming to this place ever since I could remember. Many many decades. Before internet became a thing. I've always loved their donuts. They're the perfect balance of dough and sweet icing. Chocolate raised was always my favorite, although everything they bake is amazing. Sadly, I moved to a tiny mountain town 2 hours away and rarely get to visit anymore. It wasn't until my pity order of a dozen Krispy Kreme donuts for the kiddo dance team in town that I realized how much Winchell's, and this location in particular, meant to me. KK donuts are just pure sugar, laced with sugar and a sugar topping. It's so much, it gives you cavities just looking at it. Winchell's is never like that. I'm so glad I've been able to experience this brand all of my life. I will definitely be making a morning open time trip the next time I am in town. A few bright notes to the previous two reviews I read. The person with the doggos that pulled in for 3 donuts and a coffee and a 5 star review, I saw boston cream and a raspberry filled, what was the 3rd? I'm dying to know! Also, your short story brought smiles to my face in the midst of my longing for a proper donut. To the person with the 1 star review, who had nothing but loathing for the Winchell's breakfast sandwich: Who in the heck comes to a donut shop for a breakfast sandwich? How is that even a thought in your head? I hope this place stays open for all eternity. The end of Winchell's is the end of humanity!"
