"Great stop for an espresso based drink and pastry. As a home-roaster, I can be picky, but our cappuccino & lattes were excellent - superior (I think) to the New Moon Cafe in Ned. The pastry choices were limited on a Monday due to a busy peak color weekend crowd cleaning out the supply. We got carrot cake and an apple danish thing - both were delicious. Had a nice chat with the owner who’s a really nice lady. Note - they’re closed on Tuesday."

"My husband and I embarked on a scenic Fall foliage drive during the last weekend of September, with a pit stop in the charming mountain town of Nederland, CO. We decided to grab a quick bite at Salto Cafe. Having already indulged in coffee earlier that morning, we opted for salads and a side of sourdough toast with butter. I ordered the Greek Salad with grilled chicken, and it met my expectations. The portion size was just right for me. On the other hand, my husband chose the Caesar Salad with grilled chicken. While he liked the flavor, it left him wanting more, and he wasn’t too keen on the texture and consistency of the dressing. The cafe exudes a welcoming atmosphere, and its outdoor seating is a perfect choice when the weather is pleasant."
