"I love this restaurant. Every time we go in we are treated so very good. Yesterday was a hard day for our family as our oldest son had passed away 1/19 of 2020. My family wanted to bring us lunch. I special ordered a meat and cheese tray on short notice. Not only was it wonderful, it was super beautiful and yummy. You can't beat the price anywhere either. They didn't know what the reason was for the short notice order. Thank you southwest deli for the wonderful lunch on such a horrible day for me."

"Wow! We were driving through town and looking for a place to eat, and my husband found this deli just off the main drag. We were so surprised when we walked in! Homemade bread, local cheeses, all kinds of great stuff in the fridge and pantry aisles! We each ordered sandwiches and dined in. I ended up ordering a Ruben sandwich without the roast beef because I don’t eat meat. They also had a salad which I could’ve ordered without the meat as an option. I could have “built my own” sandwich too. This is a counter service establishment with a small seating area with 10 or so tables-but it’s also a specialty market with select gift items. Everybody that worked there was very friendly. It was a good mix of healthy food and essentials. We also bought a loaf of homemade sourdough bread, kombucha, local green chili goat cheese and red and purple popping corn. If you have kids, I’m sure they would love perusing all of the candy as well! They had baked sweets and things like banana bread too. This is the perfect stop if you’re on vacation and you need to eat and pick up supplies for the road, as there’s a Starbucks next-door and a Walmart across the street!"

"The food and service are usually very good, and the Deluxe Salad with mixed greens and all the toppings is normally worth the price. However, on October 10, 2025, in the late afternoon, it took about five minutes before anyone took my order I was the only one in waiting to order—not a major issue. I ordered the Deluxe Salad, but when it was ready, it was made entirely with iceberg lettuce instead of mixed greens. When I asked about it, the employee said, “Oh, we’re out.” It would have been appreciated if that had been mentioned when I placed the order, especially since there’s a big difference between mixed greens and iceberg lettuce—but no difference in the price I was charged."
