"What an adorable restaurant! My friend and I were first time visitors and pleasantly surprised. It is small, but not crowded with plenty of space between tables. The staff is so friendly! It’s definitely a team effort, the jovial cook even came out to say hello and run some orders as they got busy. The food was very good. This is a hidden gem and we will definitely be back!!"

"My husband and I have lived in Palmer lake for 15 years. We love our community and tried Lake and Lantern for the first time last week. Wow! We were so impressed with the dramatic improvement on the inside. Such a warm, modern and inviting environment. But even more impressive was their new menu. It’s affordably priced and the food is wonderful. We had the pleasure of meeting the owner, who has lived in the surrounding area for many years as well. We applaud Raquel and her staff for making every visit so enjoyable. We now make it a weekly routine for breakfast and lunch. Don’t take our word, try it for yourself. "While I miss the old Speed Trap, and it's authentic but shabby vibe, the new owner has done a great job creating a clean comfortable space with a quality offering. The menu feels a bit more traditional than The Speed Trap, but the execution is superb. The food is great and the staff seems very dedicated to making it work. I'll be back soon."
