"I was really excited to try this place after hearing about their opening, and I absolutely love the concept and vision behind it. The girl at the register was quick, efficient, and super informative — she let me know the scone was gluten free and answered everything I needed, which I really appreciated. I ordered a Monarch iced latte. The coffee was good overall, though I personally prefer sweeter drinks. It was lightly sweetened, so now I know to ask for a little extra syrup next time. The espresso flavor came across a bit mild and slightly watered down, but nothing that couldn’t be easily adjusted. The pastries, however, were amazing. The scone was genuinely one of the softest, fluffiest scones I’ve ever had, and the banana bread was delicious and clearly made in house. The only slightly awkward part of my visit was at the bar. Things felt a little hectic, and there was some confusion with handing out items. I was given my scone and a goodbye before receiving the rest of my order, and there was a brief moment of uncertainty about what belonged to whom. I think a clearer system for calling out orders — or just a bit more breathing room as things settle — would really help minimize stress. Overall, I can definitely see myself coming back, especially as they find their rhythm. They’ve only been open for a few days, and with how strong the pastries and concept already are, I’m excited to see how they grow."
