What People Are Saying
from Google & Yelp"I chose this cafe because of its name. I love it. We stopped by at a busy time, which means this place is popular. I ordered the spinach and cheese croissant, the toasted almond croissant and a blackberry bramble (dark chocolate mocha with blackberry ). My hubby ordered the house mocha and a cinnamon roll. The pastries and drinks were delicious. The house mocha has a hint of spices and it tasted of nutmeg and cinnamon, almost like pumpkin pie minus the pumpkin. The blackberry bramble was the perfect choice since I have been loving blackberry mochas."
"Looney Bean is my happy place. I've been a regular at this marvelous establishment for almost a year. I love the cozy, lodge-like atmosphere with plenty of seating for groups or a cozy corner by the window to be alone and savor the bakery delights and a warm drink. I love the music and the comfortable vibe."
"The owners and staff maintain a warm, clean, and welcoming environment. They work hard to keep an efficient flow without neglecting the quality of products and caring for customers. It is evident by their interactions that the owners and staff genuinely care about each other and their customers. All of the coffee beans are carefully roasted in house. All of the pastries and food items are freshly made, prepared in house, and are freshly baked daily. The quality of ingredients is very high, and everything tastes amazing! Its location is convenient for when you’re driving up to Telluride and Ouray!"
"I've been a patron here for a while because I truly appreciate the cozy atmosphere, but the consistently bad service has finally made this my last visit. The food and coffee are really only okay, and I don't understand the high ratings given the service quality. Today, I ordered a pastry to dine in. After getting my coffee, I stood by the counter waiting for the heated pastry in clear view of four staff members for several minutes—with zero acknowledgement. Finally, one server, who had been on a call, asked me with an unacceptably rude and blaming tone, "What are you waiting for?" This lack of basic courtesy and rude attitude is simply unacceptable, especially as this is not an isolated incident. I would rather go to Bluecorn where respect is valued."
"Great place good service. The coffee if this makes sense tastes like really good coffee from back in the day before the foo foo coffee was invented"
"I was in Montrose for my niece's wedding this weekend. This is a solid spot. I love independent coffee shops and roasters. First experienced this joint..."
