from Google & Yelp"Just off the bike trail along the Platte River, and behind Hudson Gardens. Plenty of drink options to cool down in the summer. Cozy seating in the shade. Bathroom available too!"
"I ride the platte trail many times over the last six months and had yet to try this spot until today. I wish I had visited sooner! They had a cup full of dog treats next to their cash register. The vibes were wholesome. The South Platte River + Mary Cary trails span over twenty miles and connect downtown Denver to Littleton and Englewood. Unfortunately, the trail is not shaded and there are about two public restroom and water station spots along this stretch. Nixon serves as an important rest point where people biking can catch a break, use the restrooms, and get a drink. I wish there are more coffee shops and bakeries that are right next to the trail. The ones that exist such as Table Public House and Nixon get a lot of love from non-car users. It was so busy this morning with many bikers and pedestrians out and about enjoying a beautiful sunny November day. One improvement that would be awesome is if the shop offers for stay mugs/cups to reduce on single use plastic packaging. There were a lot of bikers who hung out to enjoy their drinks before heading out so it would’ve been nice to save on their single-use cups. I did thoroughly enjoyed my 32 oz peachy lavender kombucha that they had on tap. I loved the variety of food and beverages that they offered. I hope this shop continues to thrive. Us bicyclists rely on them greatly!"
"Beautiful place! It's a great experience. Joggers and walkers come off the Platte River trail. We parked and walked through the Hudson Gardens!"
"I'd never been to this Nixons. It's purely for cyclists and pedestrian. I found it due to walking though Hudson Gardens next door. Went over early and found a folk band playing around 8 am on a Saturday. Nice coffee, nice music."
"I have loved this place for a while. Such a great location. Until I noticed their price discrepancy. And iced and a hot version of the same drink, same size, is $2.25 different. Why? I asked. "There's a little more milk in the iced. Inflation? Tariffs?" What?? Do you buy your milk from China? So then I decided to get a blended version. Which was a completely different price. Do they make them up as they go? 🤦♀️ People are nice (apart from that dumb answer), and the food is great. Prices are odd."
"Nixon is such a trendy coffee spot for many bikers on the trail of Platte River. On a calm and breezy Saturday morning, I biked to Nixon to meet some..."
