"We tried Trompeau Bakery + Café for the first time on a warm Sunday late morning in November and grabbed a seat on the patio with our pup. There was live music, unexpected and perfectly fitting for a slow weekend morning. We ordered a cinnamon roll, apple croissant, brewed coffee, and an almond cinnamon chausson. Honestly? They were fine. Not bad, not great. Maybe a Sunday batch that snoozed through its alarm. For 25$, we just hoped for a bit more freshness (and yes, Elena5151’s review was unfortunately on point). Still, the atmosphere made up for it. The place carries that unmistakable European café energy: nonchalant, effortlessly detached, and stylishly proud, with just enough fragrance from the visitors out front to make you wonder if “Eau de Europe” is intentional. The staff were helpful in that classic French way: present, efficient, and perfectly uninterested in whether you are having a nice day. Somehow, it adds to the charm and suits the place beautifully. It is locally owned, which gives it a grounded charm you will not find at the big chains. We will definitely go again, probably midweek, to see if the 5-star crowd caught it on a fresher day. "The place is clean, I love the tables inside, and the Malika drink was tasty. Their baguettes are fresh, and all their baked goods are fresh as well. They offer sandwiches at very good prices, and all of their bakery items are affordable. The staff is kind, polite, and helpful."
