What People Are Saying
from Google"We had the veggie and lox benedicts and loved them! Food was delicious and served quick. On weekend mornings, I would recommend calling ahead of time to be put on the waitlist; we did that and were seated immediately after our 20-minute drive."
"The wait was very long, but we had a large party. Most everything was good. Honestly, all of it is good, except one thing. The potatoes. Are they hash browns? Are they mashed potatoes? Everyone at the table was commenting on them. They are also over seasoned with some chive flavor. They appear as if they are supposed to be a sort of hash brown patty type thing, but they were mushy, and I don't know anyone who wants chive flavored mashed potatoes for breakfast. This matters a lot to me as good hash browns are a big part of breakfast and they are not hard to make. I think they are overthinking the breakfast potato. If they had a normal hash brown option that was anything other than these odd mashed potato cake things, then it would have been five stars. The lox benedict was fantastic. My sister really enjoyed the gluten free options. My sons only complaint on the bacon and eggs were the potatoes. The patio and view are nice. Parking was tight."
"Rupert's became our go to for breakfast while we were in Denver this past September. The view of Sloan lake is amazing from this restaurant. Our server for 2 of the days was so funny, knowledgeable, and efficient. I never got his name but he wore a grateful dead belt and I knew he was awesome. Anyhow, my family loved the food, the vibe, and the kind/courteous staff. We would definitely go back next time we were in town! The food is divine and the mimosas did their thing. The only thing that would have made our experience better is if we sat outside to have our breakfast as it overlooked the lake"
"Great breakfast by the lake. We ordered the Chicken Fried Steak and Sloans breakfast with a Cinnamon Roll to share with coffees. Everything was delicious and the service was friendly and quick. We will be back when in Denver."
"My family and I stopped in for our first time in the morning. Overall, for my short readers, the food was good, the service was good, yet neither were remarkable. It's worth a visit, and I will be going back as the menu looks like it has a lot to offer and the outdoor seating was beautiful. There were many alternative food options, which is always great to see, we just weren't very impressed with the flavor. We had the Vegan French Toast, Pancakes, Huevos (Vegetarian with vegan gc), Deluxe Steak Burrito(with vegan gc), Burrito (Done vegetarian with vegan gc). I wanted to try the FT vegan style because I had never had it before. It was decent but a far-sight from normal French toast. It was done on a "Texas toast" like bread, which wasn't that appetizing. Pancakes were good, simple, and easy. All three of the other dishes had similar reviews, solid 6-7/10. We felt that the vegan gc/red chile just don't have a ton of flavor, very watery, and dishes felt underseasoned because of it. The final dish to mention is the Potato Pancakes, which were fantastic, highly recommend. We tried a latte, cappuccino, matcha, and orange mimosa for drinks. The drinks were as expected, simple and good. The thing to note is that they served the large mimosa in a pint glass which just does not lend well to that type of drink. We recommend you do the smaller one. Our server was nice but unattentive. She seemed a bit overwhelmed, so maybe it was a staffing issue. She didn't check on us after the food came for a while, which was unfortunate because we did need a few things that we had to wait a while for. The outdoor seating was great, overlooking Sloan's Lake."
