from Google"This was my first time visiting the panini and crêpe place, and I’d been really looking forward to it after reading so many good reviews. Unfortunately, my experience didn’t quite live up to the hype. I ordered the chicken, bacon, cheese, and ranch sandwich, which ended up being very salty. It wasn’t the worst. I was especially excited to try the butter and cinnamon sugar crêpe, expecting something soft, buttery, and sweet. Sadly, it was very dry once you get past the top layer and seemed to be lacking butter throughout, as well as enough cinnamon and sugar for the price. I was able to take it home and tweak it a bit by adding a little more butter. Given the price, my expectations were a little higher. I’m glad I tried it, though, and it just wasn’t quite for me. Update 12/21 - spoke to owner and will give this place another try!"
"Very quick service! Food is absolutely delicious... something for everyone here. No other customers on a Friday night, so we had the place to ourselves. The crepe that had bruschetta doesn't... but that's a good thing. The restaurant meant the toppings that might go on bruschetta are in the savory crepe (which I highly recommend!) Just weird on how they misuse some terms. 😏 Sit down dinner served on (nice) paper plates with plastic silverware. Would definitely come back, though not from this area."
"I stop in at least once a month while my dogs are getting groomed next door and they never disappoint ! I ordered the red berry crepe however I did not want it too sweet so they suggested less preserves. After I had already placed my order I realized I wanted to add fruit so I went back to the counter to pay the difference and the owner was so gracious to just add it on without a charge . Let me tell you that made it just perfect ! I always enjoy coming in and I really enjoy having food at a small local business as I myself own one as well . It’s hard to compete with the big chains and I believe we need to keep supporting to keep all of us afloat ! Keep doing what you’re doing and I’ll keep coming in !"
"A Five-Star Symphony of Crepes at Zell's Panini & Crepes. Nestled in the unassuming strip mall at 7521 S University Blvd Unit D13, Zell's Panini & Crepes is a culinary gem that could make even the most stoic food critic swoon. This charming eatery delivers a masterclass in crepe artistry, earning its place as Colorado’s undisputed crepe champion. With a price range of $15 to $25 per person, it’s a steal for the quality and passion poured into every dish.Let’s start with the crepes, oh, the crepes! Zell's gluten-free crepes are nothing short of a revelation, a delicate, lacy embrace of flavor that shatters any notion that gluten-free means taste-free. These are, without question, the finest in Colorado, crafted with house-made recipes that sing with precision and love. The standard crepes are equally stellar, each bite a buttery, golden hug that melts on the tongue. Topped with fresh, jewel-like berries and clouds of whipped cream so fresh it could’ve been churned by a fairy godmother, these crepes are a dessert lover’s fever dream and a breakfast enthusiast’s raison d’être. The paninis, while playing second fiddle to the crepe crescendo, are no slouches. Packed with fresh ingredients and grilled to golden perfection, they’re a satisfying nod to savory cravings. Every dish here is prepared fresh, with the kind of care that makes you wonder if the kitchen staff has a secret pact with the produce gods. The owners, a delightful duo, are the heart and soul of Zell’s. Their infectious pride in their craft is matched only by their warmth, as they eagerly chat about their recipes with the enthusiasm of kids showing off a new toy. The staff mirrors this friendliness, their product knowledge as flawless as the crepes themselves. Service is swift, smiles are genuine, and you’ll leave feeling like you’ve just dined at a friend’s house, if your friend happened to be a crepe savant. Ambiance-wise, Zell’s keeps it simple yet cozy, with a vibe that says, “Come for the food, stay for the love.” It’s not trying to be a Michelin-starred palace, and that’s its charm. This is a place where the food does the talking, and it speaks volumes. In a world where culinary disappointments lurk around every corner, Zell’s Panini & Crepes is a five-star triumph, a place where fresh ingredients, heartfelt hospitality, and crepe wizardry collide. If you haven’t yet made the pilgrimage, cancel your plans and go. Your taste buds will send you a thank-you note. Rating: ★★★★★ Price: $15 to $25 per person"
