"Listen, this is an old Vet-owned business. You aren’t getting fake pleasantries and plastic smiles here. Place opens at 9 AM. Coffee is solid. Gelato is amazing. Roasted beans are perfect. Quality is consistent. They use a light roast for most coffees, so don’t be afraid to ask for an extra shot or ask for an espresso pull from a different bean if he’s got it available. If you don’t like the taste, that’s okay - not every roast is for everyone. I all but guarantee the people hating on service are either entitled or looking to be offended. This guy is working a craft and enjoying his retirement with something to do on a daily basis. I’ve had dozens of conversations with Gary over the years. He’s got an interesting perspective to offer and wisdom you can take or leave. I don’t have to like everything someone says to appreciate the person. Gary is insightful, well-read, and quite humble when you get to know him. Alternatively, get your coffee and/or gelato and move on - it seems to be no skin off his back either way."

"Was going to meet a friend there and she arrived before me. I walked in and went to greet her and wasn't in there for but 15 seconds before the owner asked me if I was going to buy anything. When I said to give me a minute so I could finish saying hello and figure out what I wanted he proceeded to lecture me that they're a business and not a place to loiter so to leave if I was planning on taking my time. I was going to buy some coffee and gelato for the two of us but decided my business would be more welcome elsewhere. It also seemed like the AC wasn't running. Decided to check out the other reviews and I see I'm not alone. No wonder the place was empty."

"Definitely has a small mom-and-pop café vibe going for it. I great variety of Gelato flavors and they taste great too! Feel like this place deserves more attention and love, as I think it's a little gem in the AV."
